Wingspan

Here is a picture of my Wingspan

This was knitted with Drops Delight in the 11 colorway with size US 4 - 3.5 mm needles. This is really small! I could not tell from looking at all the pictures on Ravelry that it would be so small. I have no idea how to wear it. I'm even thinking of just ripping it out and using the yarn for socks but I'm not sure if that will work because I blocked it. My boyfriend usually likes what I knit but he just gave this a weird look. He said just leave it for now. So that is what I'm doing for now, just leaving it.

Thanksgiving Weekend

I did not go out shopping for Black Friday sales, but I did get this on sale http://www.craftsy.com/classes/knitting. I enrolled in the Toe-Up class. The instructor shows you three different toes, Moccasin, Wedge, and Short Row toes. Three different heels, Afterthought, Gusset, and Short Row heels. Three different techniques, DPNs, two circular needles, and Magic Loop. I just started the class so I don't have much to review. I like that she shows toe up with DPNs, that's the way I like to knit socks, but who knows I may choose a different technique. If this works out I may enroll in The Perfect Fit Seamless Crazy Lace Cardigan class.

UFOs WIPs and FOs

These are my UFOs

It's been a long time since I last blogged, but knitting never stops. These are just a few of my UFO. I did bind off the long sleeve cardi, still have to weave in the ends. I need to Kitchener stitch the toes of the socks and add an afterthought heel. On the bottom left is an Infinity Scarf that I just have to block. On the middle of the picture is a shawl, I think I need to knit just one more repeat. In the back is a black Cropped Raglan Sweater that I need to pick up and knit 78 stitches for the front bands.

 This is the Wingspan.

I need to bind off and block. This was knitted with Drops Delight on size 4 US.

 WIPs

Socks. The pattern is Basic Ribbed Sock. Very easy pattern. Knitting with Drops Fabel on size 1.5 US (2.5mm).

When I got bored, I would knit dishcloths.

That's my update for now. I really need to update my projects on Ravelry. Sometimes work just gets in the way though. Every weekday all I can think about when I get home is relaxing and knitting. Unfortunately, blogging and Ravelry take a backseat.

Where Have I Been

I had been looking for a job. I found a job. I work with some really nice people but that may all change after a while. The honeymoon can only last for so long.

I'm still knitting and buying stuff. This is my most recent purchase.

I ordered from KnitPicks. I needed some yarn for a hat but also bought books on sale. I've been wanting to knit a sweater or cardigan for a long time so I thought these would help get me started. At first I thought I would knit the Indigo Playmate Jacket from the Custom Knits book by Wendy Bernard. I ordered 29 in size 7 circular needles from Amazon but unfortunately I received size 8 needles. I was kind of disappointed so I decided to go with a different pattern. The next pattern I thought I would knit was the Rocky Coast Cardigan from the Coastal Knit book. I think the pattern was a little advanced for me, so I went with Top-Down Raglan Cardi instead. Knitting this has been good so far. I'm knitting with Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool. I thought I would go with inexpensive yarn for my first cardigan. The yarn is not bad, but what do I know I have not bought any expensive yarn yet. Give me time. I'm just afraid when I buy really nice yarn I'll be hooked, and become a yarn snob.

Correction

The sock that I posted yesterday was not the knitted with the yarn that had a knot. The yarn for that sock was the same brand but happily no knot. The yarn was Premier Serenity Sock Weight. The color is Chili.

This is the sock that was knitted with the yarn that had the knot. I was able to return the yarn for a skein without a knot.
These were knitted with Premier Serenity Sock Weight . The color is Harlequin. The pattern is from Ann Budd's Getting Started Knitting Socks. 7 Stitches Per Inch. Very easy pattern.
